Beer Info:

Bottle Inspection: All Good
Bottle Comments: Bottle slightly foamed over.

Aroma:
Toasty, complex, melanoidin rich malt aroma. Similar to lightly toasted bread crusts.
Light metallic aroma.
No diacetyl or DMS and no hop aroma.
Clean fermentation character. No esters or phenols.
7 / 12

Appearance:
Deep golden with brilliant clarity.
Pours with a moderate amount of white head that persists.
3 / 3

Flavor:
Taste is similar to aroma. Complex, melanoidin rich malty character that is followed by a light metallic, copper penny type flavor.
Medium-light hop bitterness is present and is enough to keep it from being cloying.
Clean fermentation character with the balance being decidedly toward the malty.
14 / 20

Mouthfeel:
Medium body with medium-high carbonation.
Very light alcohol warmth with moderate creaminess.
No astringency.
4 / 5

Overall:
A smooth and drinkable beer. The only real fault I can find with this is the distinct metallic aroma and flavor, possibly from sitting on a grocery store shelf. Without that flaw, this would truly be a world class example.
7 / 10
