Bottle Comments:

Aroma:
Caramel and dutch chocolate and light roast coffee. Some brown sugar. No noticeable hop character.
8 / 12

Appearance:
Dark amber. Light brown head that quickly dissipates. Slightly murky.
2 / 3

Flavor:
Initial flavor is biscuit, roastiness, and molasses with some cocoa. Clean mild hop bitterness. Leans slightly towards malt character but seems dulled. Muted aftertaste of chocolate-covered raisin.
12 / 20

Mouthfeel:
Just below medium carbonation. Very watery. No astringency.
2 / 5

Overall:
While the aroma gives a good impression for what's to come, there is a lacking character in this iteration. Aim for the beer to finish slightly higher in gravity, either through mashing higher or increasing caramel (and darker) malts. If bottling after fermentation, add slightly more priming sugar; if bottling after kegging, consider adding more volume in keg or leaving enough room in bottle for carbonation.
