Beer Info:
Descriptors:
Bottle Inspection: All Good
Bottle Comments: Bottled overflowed

Aroma:
Grainy, sweet pilsner malt character immediately jumps out - reminiscent of Grape Nuts. No hop aroma. Clean fermentation character - no esters, phenols, acetaldehyde or diacetyl. A wisp of cooked vegetable aroma - DMS and a wisp of light-struck, skunky aroma.
8 / 12

Appearance:
Very pale golden with BRILLIANT clarity. Pours with a medium amount of bright white head that persists.
3 / 3

Flavor:
Crisp, clean and moderately sweet Pilsner malt flavors dominate and are followed up by a medium amount of hop bitterness and flavor that brings this beer more in balance, but still toward the malty side. Clean fermentation character. Moderately grainy, dry finish with a light, lingering bitterness.
14 / 20

Mouthfeel:
Medium light body with medium carbonation. Very light alcohol warmth. Light creaminess and very light hop based astringency.
4 / 5

Overall:
Overall a very good example of the style. There were just a couple minor issues - mainly to do with the shipping and storage of the bottle that keep this from really being an excellent example. The slight light struck flavors and aromas detract from the drinking experience and it's missing just a touch of hops in the aroma. I'll be finishing this one for sure.
