Aroma:
High amount of complex hop aroma - tropical and dank - melon, citrus (mostly lemon) and mango with a helping of earthiness thrown in. Pine and resiny notes sneak thru as the sample warms. Low amount of light bready malt character that is totally dominated by the hops. No esters evident.
10 / 12

Appearance:
Light gold/medium yellow with brilliant clarity. Medium amount of white head that sticks around as tight white bubbles.
3 / 3

Flavor:
High amount of complex hop flavor and high amount of hop bitterness. Hop flavor is similar to the aromas - tropical fruit and resiny, dankness. Low amount of bready malt character is present - just enough to provide a stage for the complex hops. Balance is firmly towards the hoppy.
16 / 20

Mouthfeel:
Medium-light body with medium-high carbonation. Light alcohol warmth but a medium-high level of hop based astringency. Light creaminess. Overall relatively smooth.
4 / 5

Overall:
Overall a wonderful example of the style with only a couple minor flaws. The color is just a little light for the style and the hops are just a little astringent. Overall the base beer might just be a tiny little bit on the lower end of the style, but it is really a great beer.
