Aroma:
High amount of complex, rich malt character - toasted bread crusts, molasses, raisins, caramel. No hop aroma. No esters. No roasted malt and very minimal alcohol notes.
11 / 12

Appearance:
Deep amber with brilliant clarity when held to light. Low amount of light tan head of tight bubbles that persist.
3 / 3

Flavor:
High amount of complex malt character, similar to the aroma - toasted bread crusts, dark fruit - raisins and figs, molasses and caramel. No hop flavor and just a light bitterness. Balance is decidedly toward the malt, bordering on being cloying. No diacetyl or dms. Finish is medium-dry and not under attenuated.
18 / 20

Mouthfeel:
Full body with medium-low carbonation. Medium-low alcohol warmth with a medium creaminess. No astringency.
5 / 5

Overall:
This is truly an outstanding example of the style. Possibly just a touch more bitterness to balance the huge malt character.
